TrueNAS Restic Backup

A private, single-user backup tool. It is not offered to the public.

What it does

TrueNAS Restic Backup copies encrypted backups from its owner's home server to the owner's own Google Drive. It uses the open-source tools restic (which creates the backups and encrypts them before they leave the server) and rclone (which uploads them to Google Drive).

Google Drive access

The app requests only one Google permission: drive.file. With this permission it can see and manage only the files and folders it creates itself. It cannot read, list, or change any other files in the Google Drive account.

Who can use it

Only the owner uses this app, with the owner's own Google account. There is no sign-up, and it does not collect data from anyone else.
